This was in many ways the strongest of all the books in "The Women of Valley View" series.There was a lot of raw emotion. Old pains mixed with new conflicts make you root for a positive resolution. Our regulars from the series are in a much more background role with this book, but it makes sense. We are dealing with a more action-oriented cast, whereas many of the regulars are much more intellectual in their dealings rather than physical.
Once again Sharon has managed to put out the message that God is not a vending machine that gives you exactly what you want, but can give you the strength to accept what is happening.
I do think that Sharon should include a list of recipes for all the cheesecakes served in the book. ;)

The Women of Valley View
I have loved this whole series. Sharon gets you hooked from the very beginning and I love the relationship of these sweet friends throughout the series.
This book is for every woman who has ever been in love and in reality, isn't that all of us? Kate has loved and lost and through it all, God is faithful. I love how Sharon weaves truth in her storytelling, reminding us that God is our first love.
All of the books in this series meet my idea of good Christian romance. .The characters are well drawn and demonstrate (or come to demonstrate) Biblically based Christian living. I have really enjoyed reading these works by Sharon Stock.
